General Terms and Conditions of Sale of Papaï Paddle – Stand Up Paddle School
These general terms and conditions of sale are concluded between Papaï Plage SARL, the registered company of the Stand Up Paddle school Papaï Paddle, represented by Mr. Maxime Deulceux, and any natural or legal person wishing to book and participate in a Stand Up Paddle lesson, course, or tour, or to rent equipment.
By validating their booking, the client declares to accept without reservation the terms of the booking as well as the entirety of these general terms and conditions of sale and declares to have the capacity to enter into a contract with Papaï Plage SARL.
Purpose
These terms and conditions define the contractual relationship between Papaï Plage SARL and the client. These conditions prevail over any other general or specific conditions not expressly approved by Mr. Maxime Deulceux. He reserves the right to modify the general terms and conditions of sale of Papaï Plage SARL at any time without notice: the applicable conditions will be those in force on the date of the client’s order.
Characteristics of the services offered
Lessons, courses, tours in Stand Up Paddle and equipment rental.
Prices and Payment Methods
Mr. Maxime Deulceux reserves the right to modify prices at any time. The price will be the one indicated on the date of the client’s order.
Payment for services can be made by check, cash, bank transfer, or via the Lydia app.
All supervised services require booking.
A first payment of 50% (deposit) is required to confirm bookings for group lessons and courses.
The balance must be paid on the day of the service or the first day if it is a course.
Full payment is requested at the time of booking in some cases and for services such as SUP tours, rentals, or private lessons.
Group rates are adapted to specific client requests. Group services (from 8 people) require a non-refundable deposit of 40% of the total amount.
Upon receipt of the deposit or payment, the booking will be confirmed.
In all cases, once the initial quote is validated, the total amount is due even in the event of cancellation by some participants.
No refunds will be offered.
Liability and Commitment
Participants will be supervised by certified professional instructors from the start of their lessons and are under their responsibility. For minors, responsibility returns to their parents or guardians after the service.
Mr. Maxime Deulceux / Papaï Plage SARL has civil liability insurance.
The school’s liability ends outside lesson hours.
Parents or guardians must ensure the service takes place before leaving their children with the instructor.
The school declines all liability in case of loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
Papaï Paddle commits to providing services matching the needs of participants in terms of quality, teaching, supervision, and safety.
Papaï Paddle cannot be held responsible for moral prejudice or accidental or intentional damage caused to participants by third parties during activities. Responsibility is limited to the services provided.
Papaï Paddle reserves the right to exclude any participant without compensation whose behavior threatens safety, morality, or the integrity of others or the instructor.
Responsibility and commitment of participants/clients
By registering for Papaï Paddle services, adult participants, minors, and their parents accept the risks related to Stand Up Paddle practice under normal conditions.
The participant declares being in good health, able to swim 25 meters, and fit for water activities. They commit to following internal rules and safety instructions. The company is not responsible for consequences resulting from non-disclosure of contraindications or failure to follow instructions.
Participants must arrive 10 minutes before the lesson start time. Late arrivals will not be accepted.
For group services, lessons start at the booked time; no extra time will be given for latecomers.
Rented equipment is the full responsibility of the client, who certifies they are able to use it safely and follow instructions. The client agrees to respect beach regulations and swim zone boundaries.
Stand Up Paddle is a risk sport requiring swimming skills and depends on ocean conditions. Equipment is rented at the renter’s own risk.
Equipment must be returned in good condition; damage will incur repair or replacement costs up to the item’s new value.
Rental fees are non-refundable for early returns. Overtime will be charged as a full period (hour, half-day, etc.).
Cancellation conditions
Stand Up Paddle is weather-dependent. If conditions are unsuitable (strong winds, rough sea, lack of waves), Maxime Deulceux reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or propose an alternative activity.
Papaï Paddle is itinerant; the location may change according to weather.
No refund will be given if clients refuse to adapt to these conditions.
Image rights
By registering, you authorize Papaï Plage SARL to use photos and videos taken during your lessons, courses, tours, or rentals for advertising purposes without financial compensation.
